Welcome to our new Accessible Web Site!

"Success is to be measured not so much be the position that one has reached in life,
as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed."

Booker T. Washington

Some really useful hints can be found on the Accessibility tab if you need assistance navigating our site. Browse through and learn about our unique, exciting philosophy of independent living for people with disabilities. A philosophy that believes responsible, self-reliant people with disabilities have a fundamental right to information, choices and control over their lives. Learn about some of the information and services we offer.

The Independent Living Movement began in the 70's with a student protest at California University campuses bringing national attention to people with disabilities who wanted to live in an inclusive barrier free world. What developed from that day, led to the success behind international independent living movements that are empowering people with disabilities. Our Disability Resource Centre believes and supports this vision and we are a member of The Canadian Association of Independent Living Centres.
